Born in Oklahoma, but grew up in Texas after his mom passed way, Heath joined the Navy after high school, serving on a mine sweeper, then became a nomad and — with help — raised two kids. At this moment in time, he has settled down in Missouri.
“I draw what I see. I don’t follow art history so I don’t know my style. And like many other artists, I don’t think my work is good enough but people like to look at it. I’m not a fan of my art, but I enjoy the process.”
