City of Hollister<\/h1>\n

Hollister, Missouri, is a city in Taney County just across the bridge from Branson. Hollister began when settler Melinda Fortner claimed 120 acres on Turkey Creek in 1867. A general store followed, then a post office in 1904. Our Downing Street Historic District is on the National Register of Historic Places.<\/p>\n

Part of the Branson, Missouri Micropolitan Statistical Area, Hollister is a forward-looking community and have worked hard to build sustainable community. Our efforts include the Hollister Economic Development Incentive Policy, Taney County Partnership, and Springfield Regional Economic Partnership.<\/p>\n
