\nAll through the desert with what I had planned.

\nBut I feel the pressure and I don\u2019t have a prayer.
\nI went down in the pit to give up my soul
\nExpecting the devil to come and make me whole<\/p>\n
\n\u201cThere ain\u2019t no way you\u2019re getting out of here.\u201d
\nI begged the Father of all lies
\nTo give me what I want and start wasting my time.<\/p>\n
\nHe carried those chains and caused me to think.
\nHe said, \u201cYou want some water? Then give me your soul
\nAnd I\u2019ll make it better than you’ve ever known.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nMess with my head and go wasting my time.
\nThere\u2019s no water here.
\nThe Devil knows he\u2019s dead<\/p>\n
\nI dipped my toe into the lake of fire
\nTo see what it\u2019s like to touch my desires.
\nBut all that was waiting on me
\nWas a dark empty hole that\u2019ll never set me free.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cCome and take my soul.\u201d
\nCause it wasn’t mine to give.
\nI said, \u201cCome find me!
\nCome find me!\u2028 Come find me on my knees.
\nCome find me! Come find me, begging, God please!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nTo stand my ground and to fight off the horse.
\nI rode out of that desert with scars that won’t heal
\nI heard the Devil scream, \u201cYou can’t break this deal!\u201d<\/p>\n
\nWas \u201cYou don’t own nothing.
\nYou’re the Father of lies.\u201d<\/p>\n
