Prince Ivan VIP Concert

“The music of Prince Ivan is innovative,” Joe Tinoco, producer of The Magnificent 7 Variety Show, said shortly after watching the VIP Prince Ivan Concert. “The group and their music, they’re new. They’re cool. The overall energy and vocals of the group are just great.”

It was a full house at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theatre with both young and young-at-heart in attendance. The anticipation of witnessing a musical group which has gained a national and international following seemed mutual.

A buzz of excitement traveled through the audience when the Brett brothers, Brydon and Garon, as well as Aaron Ellsworth, first appeared on staged, introduced as Prince Ivan. The concert that followed was something unique to Branson as every song performed was an original composition.

Even before the concert began, guests were introduced to the “Prince Ivan vibe” through a specially featured art gallery. Sixteen artists were given the challenge to represent the songs featured on the new album, Once Upon a Night.

One artist, Lydia Hoskins (a 17-year old Hollister High student) said, “I’ve been to one of their concerts before an I loved it. I like how packed it gets at their concert. All these people here, there’s a lot of energy.”

For new and returning fans, the show was enjoyable and memorable. Each number included a spectacular light show, well-practiced dance moves and gripping new sounds.

“One of my favorite songs is Red Hearts,” Hoskins said after the concert. “I love the acoustic version because it’s very personal and the song gets to a one-person kind of level.”

Whether it was a get-on-your-feet-and-dance song or a sincere, encouraging piece, the young men of Price Ivan knew how to make a crowd happy. Even as they left the stage, the audience chanted, “One more song!” The group returned to stage, answering the call of their fans.

Prince Ivan’s summer concert is showing at the Dick Clark American Bandstand Theater for a limited time only from June to August.

Donnie Lee Strickland Releases New Album!

Donnie Lee Strickland

The undeniable Southern sound of Donnie Lee Strickland took root early on when his love of country music began at the tender age of five. Born and raised in North Carolina, Strickland was influenced by George Strait, Loretta Lynn and Reba McEntire.

Compared to country crooner Josh Turner, Strickland has opened for Ty Herndon, Anita Cochran, Jeff Bates, Shotgun & Lace and has showcased as a special guest on The Music City Hayride Show (at Nashville’s Texas Troubadour Theater), on the weekly Branson Country USA (Grand Country Music Hall) and Ben Stillwater’s Country Junction at Branson Center Stage.

An exciting EP album release party is planned for Sunday, December 13, at Branson Center Stage on the world-famous 76 Country Boulevard in the heart of the live music capital’s theater district.

The Donnie Lee Strickland Team would like to thank Smart Productions (and Chip Bricker and Frank Pryor) of Nashville, TN, and The Art Department.
