Hollister, MO (July 17, 2019) — State of the Ozarks Media has scheduled the third annual StateoftheOzarks (SOTO) Fest for 10AM to 6PM, Saturday, September 14, 2019, in downtown Hollister.
“It’s a time to come together as an Ozarks community and celebrate our traditions and our differences,” says Dale Grubaugh, StateoftheOzarks publisher.
SOTO Fest ‘19, which will span the length of Hollister’s historic Downing Street District, will include traditional Ozarks craftsmen, contemporary fine arts, cosplay, Civil War history, martial art demonstrations by Branson Karate, bluegrass jam sessions, Zumba® and more.
Joshua Heston, StateoftheOzarks editor-in-chief, adds, “Our Ozarks and our immediate community are home to a surprisingly diverse array of creatives of all ages and backgrounds. This is a chance to see so many of our most passionate people in one place on one day.”
Ghost Busters of the Ozarks and White Hart’s Feast of the Goblin King will attend, as will Dragonfest Renaissance Faire benefiting Infinity Academy.
Planned newcomer this year is the Order of the Red Boar, a live steel fighting group. Founder Jeffrey Ryan Andrews created the group to bring 14th-century European fighting to North America.
“We work very hard to involve the Downing Street merchant community and bring attention to our unique historic downtown,” concludes Heston.
Last year’s SOTO Fest included nearly 100 vendor booths.
Festival sponsors include Victory Chiropractic, First Community Bank of the Ozarks, Commerce Bank, City of Hollister, and Hodges Insurance.
The festival is free to the public
